# Contact custom fields

> List, create, update and delete the custom fields contacts can hold.

Every plan can use these endpoints. A contact's values are in its `customFields`, keyed by field name. Set them through create, update, upsert or bulk import.

| `GET` | `/v1/contacts/custom-fields?workspaceId=&limit=&offset=` | List the workspace's custom fields, one page at a time |
| `POST` | `/v1/contacts/custom-fields` | Create a field: `{ "workspaceId", "name", "type" }` |
| `PATCH` | `/v1/contacts/custom-fields/{fieldId}` | Change a field's `name`, `type` or `position` |
| `DELETE` | `/v1/contacts/custom-fields/{fieldId}` | Delete a field |

The list is paged: `limit` (1 to 1,000, default 100) and `offset`, oldest first. It returns `{ items, total, limit, offset, hasMore }`; keep adding `limit` to `offset` while `hasMore` is true.

`type` is one of `text` (the default), `number`, `date` or `boolean`.
